Who are we?
We are a non-profit point-of-care ultrasound conference hosted by the McGill Ultrasound Interest Group. It’s an inter-university training event aimed at bringing together residents and students from across Canada and beyond for two days of online lectures by some of the top ultrasound educators around. Our 2019 in-person conference was a huge success and we look forward to another awesome weekend of learning this fall with our 2020 virtual conference!
What do we do?
We bring together residents and students from medical schools across Eastern Canada for two days of hands-on point-of-care ultrasound training by some of Canada’s top experts in POCUS education. We understand how expensive POCUS courses are for trainees and want to offer excellent ultrasound instruction for an affordable price while fostering inter-university collaboration and knowledge exchange. We are proud to be the first student-run, non-profit, CPoCUS-certified ultrasound training conference in Canada!
What is MTL-SONO?
MTL-SONO is an amazing two days of webinars at a wicked price. Although COVID-19 has made all of our hands-on POCUS training take a back burner, it has provided us the opportunity to reach out to instructors from far and wide and the response has been overwhelming! We are very excited to offer webinars covering a wide range of topics to help broaden everyone’s POCUS knowledge, from beginner students to more advanced residents or staff. Come learn how to use bedside ultrasound to diagnose a range of pathologies from retinal detachment to shoulder dislocation to COVID-19!
