Who are we?
We are a group of students at McGill University that are passionate about point-of-care ultrasound. We have amazing support from members of our faculty and want to share our PoCUS passion with you!

What do we do?
We bring together residents and students from medical schools across Eastern Canada for two days of hands-on point-of-care ultrasound training by some of Canada’s top experts in POCUS education. We understand how expensive POCUS courses are for trainees and want to offer excellent ultrasound instruction for an affordable price while fostering inter-university collaboration and knowledge exchange. We are proud to be the first student-run, non-profit, CPoCUS-certified ultrasound training conference in Canada!
What is
MTL-SONO?
MTL SONO is a CPoCUS-recognized introductory course, with a structure that aims to take PoCUS education a step further by putting forth an improved curriculum/format each year, while maintaining excellence in teaching. As well, organized by a group of McGill medical students, this is a fully non-profit initiative aiming to make PoCUS education more financially accessible to trainees (medical students and residents).
