MUSIG is hosting an Advanced Cardiac Echo event in the echocardiography suite at L’Hôpital Notre Dame (1560 Sherbrooke E.) to celebrate the beginning of the month of December. We will be holding 2 sessions with 8 students per each session. The sessions will be lead by staff cardiologists that specialize in echocardiography: Dr. Friedlander and Dr. Labos.

Scan and be scanned, so dress appropriately. We will do our best to accommodate any requests to not be scanned. However, the event can not proceed without student participation as models. Please let us know beforehand.
It is extremely important to only sign-up if participants are sure to present themselves. Out of respect for the staff, any no-show without a doctor’s note for the absence will lose the privilege of attending MUSIG training events for the rest of the academic year. This will be strictly enforced.
MUSIG – Gatineau will be joining forces with the PoCUS ultrasound interest group of University of Ottawa to throw an MSK ultrasound event at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine! All McGill Medicine students located at the Gatineau campus and University of Ottawa students are more than welcome for this event.

MUSIG will be hosting a Lung, SubX, and AAA Ultrasound workshop this month. Come check out our new Butterfly iQ -Ultrasound machines! Participants will be able to try these state of the art, handheld ultrasound machines for themselves!
This is a SCAN AND BE SCANNED session. Please dress appropriately. If you do not wish to be scanned please indicate this in the sign-up sheet, and we will try our best to accommodate.

There are a limited number of spots available per session. If the number of people who sign up exceeds the number of spots, those who signed up will be selected randomly. The random selection will take place on Saturday, Nov 16th. The selected names will be posted in the comment section of this event.
On November 9-10, MUSIG held its first ultrasound conference, with the objective of bringing together residents and students from medical schools across the region for hands-on point-of-care ultrasound training.
We wanted to thank all 60 participants, ranging from first-year medical students to graduating residents, as well as volunteers, and instructors for the success of the event!
