He is chief of the department of cardiology at Hôpital Notre-Dame with cross-appointment to the Lakeshore General Hospital. He has an interest in clinical cardiology, echocardiography, and medical education. He will discuss cardiac echo techniques with demo of a portable V-scan US machine!

His special guest, Dr. Guttman is the incoming emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship director at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He was born and raised in Montreal, Canada and completed medical school at McGill where he stayed on to complete his Emergency Medicine residency. Having had enough of the cold Canadian weather and of everyone being so nice, he moved south and completed an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. His current academic interests include all things ultrasound, but most specifically bowel ultrasound, MSK ultrasound and critical care ultrasound. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Rebecca and son Jonah. He will talk about ER Ultrasound techniques + demo!
